No password set on fastrad

Does anyone know if its neccessary to have a password to get into the rad? its set up to answer I tried to connect without a password it said it was connecting then it said no carrier does the rad lock up after several bad password attempts?

Yeah, you need a password to connect to the RAD. Did you lose it?

I thought that was the case I sub con for a guy who used another guy on a job who set the rad to answer but did not set a password. and now no body can access it

We need to know what system you're trying to call into and if you are in fact using a FastRad or an OLD RAD?

If an old RAD then refer to the other thread we have going that discusses that fact.

And yes, you are probably on one that will lock you out completely after 3 attempts. Wait 20 minutes before trying again.

Go to a system phone and press Feature 9** and if there is no password the set will say Exit Change or Next. Change it to what you want.
