NO password for 1720

I have a 1720 and I'm trying to reset the pasword. Everytime I try to do a break in order to go to rommon>

nothing happens. Any other way to get around this?

I also tried config-register 0x01,, but everytime I do that I get the following:Translating "config-register"...domain server (216.250.64.67), bla,blablasa


Please help!!!

You're probably using the wrong key combintion for sending a break during post. Cisco has listed possible break key combinations at:

1. Open Router and remove Flash Memory.
2. Reboot Router, the router will enter ROM monitor mode, change the config register to read 0x2142.

ROMMON 2>confreg 0x2142

3. Shutdown router, replace Flash Memory and reboot. Answer NO at the prompt below.
