no outgoing attachments

Outlook for some reason will not send out files in form of attachments, receiver only gets a "winmail.dat" file instead of the intended attachment. Incoming mail has not been affected. Plese help.

is it the same for all attachtments (or just certain types) to all people you send out email to, or just certain individuals?

change the format of your outgoing mails to HTML, or if there is an option turn off TNEF, this is the format that allows MAC users to view Windows attachments, if you are using Exchange server there is an option to turn off in there in the Connections Protocol and Advanced.
