Our outbound lines are not working. How do I check the status of the trunks using the MOC? I have prog manual but need some guidance.[ponder]

Thanks a million.

Two posts with the same problem! My guess is that you are both in the same area and the fault is external!

CMD E8 de Dxxx de = DCON trunk. An error means the trunk is busy. If it is connected to an extension it will show which one.
CMD E8 de Fxxx de = DCON multiline station.

Sorry belevedere, was supposed to be IPS 2000.Is that why I could not find CMD E8 in the programming manual?
Tried CMD E5 (trunk line make busy)y=1 and the Data shows 1= in service.Does that mean that the fault is external and not internal as ozzie has commented?

gile.

Cmd E8 isn't in the manual! It was in the SDS manual years ago and whilst the command is now undocumented, it still works!

However it will also return an error if the line is just idle!

You need to test the lines properly with a buttinski!

Ok. I have tried the command and it has returned all errors. I have also tested using the bittinski and did get dial tone at the frame. And lo the lines started working again! I don't understand. Checked this morning lines were'nt working.

Thanks for the help. Much appreciated.
