Hello,
I just wiped out my harddrive and did the FDISK thing to put the whole hard drive on one letter and anyway when I rebooted the computer (with a system disk in it) it says NO OPERATING SYSTEM. I can't seem to get the thing to detect my A drive. In the system bios it is set to check the A drive first, but it is not. I did switch to checking the CDrom first and put a Windows ME cd in it but it says it is unsuccessful in booting up the CD. Please help me!!!
Thank you

what are the specs of your computer?
things to try:
make sure your floppy drive controller is enabled in the bios. FDC

make sure your floppy drive cables are not loose.

partition using FAT32

make sure to format the hard drive after partitioning.

You may have lost the floppy. In BIOS enable seek on boot. This is the first test. If it will select and seek, then the question becomes one of failure to read.
And try another system disk. Ed Fair
