No one have used SQLMerge Object before?

Hi,
I'm trying to use Microsoft SQL Merge Control to start a db replication
process using PowerBuilder 8. This control has an event, status. MSSQL Server Help says that
status event is called automatically and provides messages regarding the
status of the replication process. This event never fire, thought. Is there
a initial settings that enable status event firing? Is this functionality available only in VB or VC++?
