no nic with ifconfig -a

Have just installed Solaris 8 x86. The NIC is not displayed when I do an ifconfig -a. I only get the loopback address. How can I get the NIC to display so I can setup the rest of the network files?

hmmm, it sounds to me that solaris 8 (on ix86) did not recognie your network card... you must to install the correct driver for your net card.
