Please, please could somebody help.

Access 2000, split dbase, single machine

I am in a situation where I have a form (with code behind it) which is causing a "no network connection error". To solve the problem I thought it would be a good idea to delete the form which would automatically delete the code module.

Unfortunately, it makes no difference, I can delete the form but for some reason the module behind it is not deleted. Consequently, I am left with this module without a form and the same "no network connection" error.

I know its this particular form which is causing the problem for the following reason; After I tried everything I know to solve this, I decided to import all objects in a new dbase. When it came to this particular form (during the import process) I received an error which said that there was allready a module called X.

What happened before the problem arised:

I copied a form which I tried to paste in the same dbase with a different name. The pasting failed because there was a password on the project in vba. I used alt-F11 to open the project and entered the password. I went back to the dbase and pasted the form. Everything went well, I changed some things on the form and saved it. At this moment something went wrong as my system froze up. No keyboard input, no mouse input, just a frozen screen. Consequently, I had to re-boot after which I got the no network connection error.

Kindest regards,

Hi:

If you haven't already, I would start by selecting Tools > Database Utilities > Compact and repair database.

Let's know if that's helpful. Gus Brunston [glasses] An old PICKer, using Access2000.

Hi Gus,

Thanks for the reply. I have tried several times to compact and repair the dbase, unfortunately no luck.
