I have VM Pro setup with an immediate answer AA. Dial 4 for the name dial directory, and regardless of what is input, it says no names were found. I have verified that:
1. The names exist in the Accounts folder (entered into Manager as FirstName LastName)
2. The users prompts have been recorded
3. Tried to delete the dir with the names recorded in it and recreated.

Nothing still. Thoughts? Natives getting restless.

Thanks,
Michael

Dial an extension and let the call go into voicemail. Once voicemail picks up does it play the name prompt? Dial *8 and enter another extension. You should hear the name prompt before it transfers the call. This is a simple test to verify that the prompts are there.

Im just shooting in the air but is it possible you have two voicemail servers on your network. I made this mistake once and it had me pulling my hair out. I plugged my laptop into the customers network and Manager had the voicemail address as 255.255.255.255 which is the broadcast address. People started complaining that they had set their voicemail passwords and now it doesnt work. Just thought I would throw that out there.

Thanks for the effort, buy yes and no respectively to your suggestions/questions.

The name prompts are correct and are being displayed when pressing *8. This is a brand new office, I just installed the IPO this past week and am positive there are no other VMs on site.

Kind of frustrating, ya know? Any other thoughts?

Thanks,
Michael

The wav used by dial by name is not in the accounts directory, where is it now? names dir i think have to double check

Soopa Doopa Intergalactic IP Office installation mechanic and configuration corruptor from way back.

Yes, the names show in teh Names dir. APologize for the mis-information.

Call flow is very straight forward:
Menu:
1- ext transfer
2- hours of operation
3- location/address
4- name dial

Name dial goes to a Dial by name menu, including both Users and Groups and sort by last name.

If True, transfer to $KEY. But this does not matter, as it says the name was not found anyways.

I suspect it may be an error with your config. Configuration errors with 3.0 can result in the symptom you describe.

I would recommend you run the IP Office Move Adds and Changes Wizard. Review the errors it reports. The Wizard can report a lot of false-positives so don't be discouraged or feel that you necessarily need to implement all the fixes the Wizard proposes. I'd focus on the obvious here. I've seen issues with conflicting shortcodes resulting in the "name not found" problem.

I am not sure if your resolve this problem already, but I just solve this very same issue. Accessing Manager under the telephony tab unclick and click the Dail by Name box and reboot the IP OFFICE. Good luck
