No MS Access on PC 1

Hi,

I have VB front end and an ms access backend.
The program is to be used on various PCs throughout the company.

My question is, If the PC the program is being used on does not have MS Access on it then would i need to get it installed or is there just a dll that needs putting on the pc?

The user only needs to use the vb front end.
If I just need to get a dll put on the machines then can you let me know what I need to ask our IT dept to do?

You won't need Access installed on the PC to be able to connect to the database. However, each client which is to use the app will need MDAC intalled and you will then just adjust your connection string to point to the database location.

It is worth checking the app on your clients first as it is possible they have a suitable MDAC version installed already.
