I'm getting a common error when trying to backup, it has an elapsed time usually just around 15 minutes when it stops and gives the error: 'No more data is on the tape.'
This has happened about 8 times now, randomly with almost everytime a different tape. I'm running Vertitas BE 8.0.

I don't know if this will help but I had the same problem and did two things, I'm not sure which one or both solved the problem. I erase all the tapes before the job runs in the evening. I also ran a cleaning tape through the drive. I haven't had that error since. Hope that helps.
