I'm trying to change the system attendant message. From what I gather, I'm supposed to go to the system manager handset and push the MGR softkey when in the VM. But none of the handsets show this option. What to do? I know my handset is station 01 from doing the "Feature+4" move.

I've inherited this system and I have the EliteMail VMS manuals, but there is no information on passwords, admin codes, etc. It is all blanked in the manual. If an answer involves me using a password or non-published code, please feel free to PM me.

Also, I am not adverse to just wiping the system and starting from scratch with default codes. I just don't know how to do this.

If you have access to Co-Sessions on a PC then you can flag your account as system manager. If you do not then you will need to contact your phone system vendor to set this up for you.

Do you get the MGR softkey at your own ext.?

On a lot of the vm's you can access the built in sysmgr box from the main greeting by dialing 632 (nec), that will make you sandy simmons or amy ronk (don't ask, but that's the voice you hear in the prompts). You will then have manager options, unless the previous vendor was wary of phone hackers and changed the password.
