no messages in in box after upgreade to outlook2003

I have found on a few of my users PCs that after I upgrade them to office 2003 they don’t have any mail in their inbox. If I change them to cached exchange mode then they can see their old mail. If cached mode is off they can see messages that they receive after the upgrade but not before.

Any thoughts?
