no media/volumes found for restore selections

Just recently I had some issues with BE 8.0.
PIII, Dell 40/80 DLT tape drive, win2kSvr, BE8.
For some reason my restore selections are not showing up. Nothing shows up on the page for restore selections. The tapes will catalog fine and say that this selection has already been catalogged etc.

Do I need to delete the catalog index file and recatalog all the tapes?

Has anyone else had this issue and how do I fix this?

If I am reading you right this is the senerio ...

You are using SQL Server to backup your DBs to disc.
You are then writing the SQL backups (*.bak)s to a DLT using Backup Exec 8.0

When you try to restore you are not seeing the cataloges to restore ... Correct?
