Hi,

We have a small network, (10 PC's), most of them are win 2000, and we logon to a Win 2K Advanced server. However 2 of our comuters are Win XP Pro, on these pc's we have problems loging on, when i run netdom reset i get the reply 'No logon server available'. Sometimes when we logon on the xp machines we receive a 'No domain controller available' message.

Can anyone help??

Thank you very much

I have had this problem too. I presume you have DNS setup correctly, and you are able to ping by name and IP address. If this is the case try creating a Lmhosts file. This solved my problem. Hope this helps.

I think DMSCE is on the right track. Most issues with XP machines with that error are that the DNS they are looking at has no SRV record pointing to an Active Directory server.
