I have an IP Office 7.0 that has 9620 telephones. When I go to the menu to choose Log Out, Log Out is not an option on any of the phones. Has anyone had this and how do I get it back so I can Log Out an extension and log back in with another. I have looked everywhere for an answer and can not find anything that points to why it is not in the list of menu items.

you can always program a log out button from the user tab, sorry this is the best I can come up with as I do not have any of these type of phones available to me at the moment.

I looked at the button options and did not see log off as one of them. Unless you know where it is hiding but I looked under all the programming tabs, i.e. dial, user, emulation etc...and could not find anything that refered to a button for log out of the phone.

Are you using the "A" menu key or feature key (soft key)? They are different.

From the manual:

13.2 Logging Out
1.Press the Features soft key if shown. To do this during a call, press the PHONE key and then press the
Features soft key.
2.Use the up and down arrow keys to highlight Phone User. Press Select.
3.Use the up and down arrow keys to highlight Logout. Press Select.
4.You will be logged out of the phone. The follow action will depend on several factors:
· If the phone does not have a default user, or the default user is currently logged on elsewhere, the 'no user'
display is shown:
· If the phone has a default user and they are not current logged on elsewhere, they are automatically logged
back in.

Access Control
Your system administrator can configure whether you can access this menu option. See Menu Access Control.

It's easier use ShortCodes.

Make sure all User have the Same login code lets say 1234
You only need to press # and the extension number
Create a code

Code: #XXX (Is you have 3 digit extn)
Feat: Login
TelN: N*1234

Code: #0
Feat: Logout
TelN:

Thank you! I will try this......Also, I found where the button options were located. I was just looking for log out not extension log out. So I should be able to program the button for it. I am going to try now. Wish me luck!

that's why I like programming the button option, it's much easier access for your customers, as they will get lost in those menus and the short code idea is a good one but customer will not like any one being able to log in any phone with the same pass code.

also check your firmware on the phone, it should be 3.11
