We're running Windows 2000 Server and use roaming profiles and folder redirection. On each machine a user logs into, though, it stores copies of their profiles. This is filling up hard drives and may be slowing machines down (?).

Is there any way to set the computers not to do this?

Thanks!

roaming profile will creat a local profile for temp use, each time you logon and logoff , AD will sync your local copy and server profile, that's "roaming profile".

so, that would be longer logon time if you have large roaming profile, in conjunction with folder redirectrion is very smart, normally, the My document will be most contribution of large profile.

therefore, u need to reduct the roaming profile size, for the copy on the local wokrstation, i think it's by design, u can't take it off. it's just a temp folder, er?
