Hello everyone,

It's me again!
One of our Norstar phones is not working when i press line 1 to dial out it has no signal!

Can someone tell me how to fix this!

Josie

Hi joto,
I think the first thing you might try is to see if the problem lies with the phone or that extension. Plug another phone into the problem extension and see if you get tone from line 1 WARNING: Make sure set relocate is off!!!
If you do get tone than you know it's the phone that's the problem. If not you have a problem with the extension.

Do you just get dead air when pressing the line button? If so you need to check the line back at the Telco blocks (Dmark).

1. Do Feature * 0, press Line 1 and look at display and tell us what it says, do same at a working phone and tell us what it says.

Hi Curlycord,

I did Feature*0 and pressed line 1 and it says "touche muette"

Thank you

if you want to take it off of french
PRESS FEATURE *501 (english)
*502 is french, *503 Spanish,
Once you press FEATURE *0, then press your line 1 button and read your screen. What does it say?

According to French to English
"touche muette" means "Touch Dumb"

According to it mean Dumb Key.

Now Dumb Key sounds better then Touch Dumb so your key is dumb and does not know how to dial out?

Maybe try F*3, Press Line 1, enter Feature 649 and try to see if it works?

touche muette" means "blank key."

You need to assign the line to the set.
