I have a VFP 6.0 application (EXE) running that has a report writer to generate labels. The executable will bring up the “New Label” dialog box to select a label format to setup while running in the sub-dir the executable was compiled in.

When I move the application to user’s machine and I try to bring up the report designer label setup to build a label I get a message, “No Label Formats Found”, and then a generic label format is presented in the report designer.

I tried moving the FOXUSER.DBF/.FPT files from VFP98 sub-dir but apparently the label information isn’t stored there. Also tried moving the LABEL.DBF/FPT tables to the user machine, still no luck.

I am missing something, but don’t have a clue. Anyone have and idea as to what the problem is?

Thanks,
John

Try this. There should be a file named LABELS.REG in the '\Tools\Addlabel' folder under the folder where VFP is installed.
Something like:
C:\Program Files\Microsoft Visual Studio\Vfp98\Tools\Addlabel
You will also need to copy that file to the user's machine and run it to add the label registry values.

Thanks Dave!

That took care of it. Appreciate the Help and a Star to you.
