I having a problem with getting a computer on the Internet. They are able to logon to our network and everything else just fine, but when they attempt to open IE or Outlook they just get error messages (page cannot be displayed, etc.). Our know it's not our ISP since everyone else in the company is fine.
I've been through the entire works.
-can ping the server running Wingate
-checked the Wingate settings
-rebooted the server
-double-checked all the TCP/IP settings
-checked his port
Everything is the same as usual, but he just started having this problem today. I even disabled Wingate and gave him the Default Gateway of our router so that he would be connected directly to it. Nothing seems to be working.
Does anybody have any ideas? I know it can be a number of things, but I was just wondering if anybody else has had this problem.
He is running 98 SE and the server running Wingate is Win2000.
