On my Windows 2003 small business server my ethernet card which i assigned for the internet suddenly stop recieving packets. The network icon shows that it is connected by if pinged it from other computer cannot be pinged either if i ping from the server to other computers cannot ping as well. I tried to repaired the winsock with winsock fix and these code netsh int ip reset reset.log and winssock reset catalog. This works only for sometime then the card stops again to receive ans sometime to sent. Your assistance is of great importance

How many NICS total are you using? Are they integrated or add-in cards?

it´s an onboard card?
disable it in bios and get another nic, try with that, if it works its the nic wich is failing, if not u have a software prob wich needs further investigation (and information)

The NIC cards are adds-on and i had tried to replace the cards but to no avail. There are two network cards. I am not using the onboard cards, Yes I do believe that might be a software problems of which i am trying to dig out the root cause or itmight be malware that locks my winsock not sure
