I must have done something.. choosing the button option on a new form no longer brings up the sequence of selections Paradox otherwise uses in interactive design mode. It just plumps down the button. I must have toggled something, but I can't figure out what. Anyone know?

No interactive mode in form design?

Maybe you've switched off the Experts.
In version 8 upwards, go to Tools-->Settings-->Preferences-->(Experts Tab) and mark tick the boxes.
Save the settings and exit.
(Can't remember where it is on previous versions.)
