Groupshield 5 SP1 installed on NT4 Exchange 5.5 server.

When I go into the GroupShield Properties, then click on the version tab, I only see information for the Server admin extension (5.0.964.1) Everyhting else shows "Not Known". Does anyone have any ideas??

I cannot remove/repair or reinstall either as I just get a message saying a previous version was installed bla bla bla!!

And when I try to run an on-demand scan I just get a message saying the service isn't running, I then try to start it but nothing happens. According to the services everything looks to be running OK!!!

Please help

Hello,

As dumb as this sounds, have you clicked on the refresh button? I doubt this works, but I was able to clear all my version information briefly by clicking on it and then it came back up. As far as the scan goes, check to make sure that it is using the correct account to start the scan. most likely service-exchange. If all this fails, then you will have to re-install.

Good luck

refresh button is greyed out.

I've also discovered that I can run an on-demand scan from running ODConsole.exe in Explorer but still cannot from the On Demand Scan tab in groupshield properties
