No image in main window, but visible in navigator window

I have a user the is using Abode FrameMaker6 and Illustrator9 (latest patches applied to both) on an NT4 workstation. When he double-clicks an image in FrameMaker, it launches Illustrator. Sometimes the image is visible in the navigator window but not in the main window.

Has anybody experienced this problem? Is there a cause or fix?

try switching back and forth between artwork and preview mode a couple times and see if doesnt refreash the artwork in AI. Also zoom way out to make sure the art isnt just way off screen. BEHOLD! As Steve Jobs introduces us the latest in desk-lamp technology!
