I have a HP Proliant DL 380 Server.

There are two 140GB drives & two 69GB drives.

I ran HP Smart Start 7.40.8.0 and created two arrays (one for the two 146GB drives & one for the two 69Gb drives).

I then created two logical drives as per above - one 146GB & one 69GB

I used the max size possible for RAID 1 + 0

I created a boot partition of 6144Mb

When I load the OS (windows 2000 Server), I only see one C: drive that is 6Gb in size.

What can I do to enable/display the drives I created.

I also tried Smart start 7.5 & 7.6 but no joy!

Can anyone help?

Thanks

You need to use the Windows Storage Managment Console to initialize and format the drives. The C: drive you see was created by the Windows install process.

Thanks for the info.

Stupid question, but where can I find the Windows Storage Mgr console?

OS is Windows 2000 Server

Right Click on My Computer, Select Manage, Click on Disk Managment.

Thanks.

Can I format the two disks within this console or do I have to format them from FDisk or a 3rd party tool?
