no graphics output

hello,
I'v just installed a creator3D card into my sun system.
But the signal only seems to be going to the onbards graphics card.

How do I change the settings so that the creator becomes the primary card.

Have you done a boot -r to detect new hardware?

Ok i;v run boot -r and now the creator becomes the primary.
But its in 256 colours and some apps become tinted yellow. Also when running 3d apps i can see lines gone down the screen.

How do i solve this.
