I am using the Business Objects Crystal Reports server as a way to run and host multiple reports.

The server has worked perfectly in the past. However, over the past two weeks i have not been using it and then today i went to use it and one of the javascript functionalities is not working.

When i click the calendar button it pops open a javascript window, but none of the javascript window's functionality is working. If i select another month from the drop down, it is supposed to automatically change the calendar to that month, but currently it does nothing. If i select a date, again it does nothing.......

It's like it is a blank form with no functionality excepted a populated drop down box.....

I have tried this on four different machines in my office. Three machines work the same as mine with the errors, but one of the machines works normal and the way that it should. I have compared some of the internet security options/scripting options and all four machines seem to have the same options selected.

So i have a feeling it is just an option being switched or something like that. Anyone have any ideas where to look for this or how to fix it???

thanks in advance

Maybe you have a toolbar or popup blocker installed from the web or something... and that may be interfering with things.

Maybe you have recently installed some "security" software that is inserting something into the page code (like Norton products do).

If the machine that works doesn't have a popup blocker on it, and the other three machines do... then I would say it's the popup blocker (having experienced similar things in the past).

You could install another browser on one of the affected machines (like Firefox or Opera) and see if the problem still hangs around.

Maybe you recently upgraded the three machines affected to IE7 and the one that works is still IE6.

So many possibilities. Let us know how you get on.

Cheers,
Jeff

I had som odd things happen when a few machines in the office had Sun Java engine installed and others were running MS's JavaVM
