This is a new media server which is behind the firewall. All netbackup ports had been opened (13724,13782,13701,13705). When I start the netbackup process its giving me an errot "No Entries in the Drive Database". Is there anyting I missed on the configuration file.

# /etc/init.d/netbackup start
Media Manager daemons started.
NetBackup request daemon started.

Have you configured any drives to be shared by the master?

sounds to me that master server are having commuication issues or the master doesn't know about the media server...
try this:
make sure that you ping the master to the media manager and vice versa. If not update hosts files or DNS.
In bp.conf on the MASTER make sure that the media manager's name in there. SERVER = <hostname>. Also make sure that the media managers bp.conf is correctly formatted as well.
