Hello folks,

we just put in an S8510 and our having a problem setting sync for the PN.
We have 4 live DS1's in the PN. When we type 'change sync port 1' there are no DS1's listed as available for use as the sync source. We tried adding the primary and secondary sources but received a message saying 'Circuit pack not on available synchronization source list'

System is clocking off of the IPSI (tone-bd) currently.

Any thoughts anyone?

Thanks in advance

Thanks 1a,

tried setting them to 'y' already. Doesn't make a diff

The sync page will only show DS1 that have clock. Robbed bit or Tie T1's don't show (no Clock). PRI's & BRI's will. Are the ds1's in the cabinet PRI. And were they ordered with Clock?

Hope this makes sense.

One of the four is a PRI which was the sync source in the old system. It doesn't show up either.

If I look in the old Definity we just cut from all 4 DS1's were listed as 'CIRCUIT PACKS AVAILABLE FOR SYNCRONIZATION' on the 'change sync' form.

Spookytooth,

I had this same exact problem while install an S8510 with CM 5.1

I am not sure what caused it but once I installed the latest software update for CM 5.1 I was able to see the DS1 boards on the change sync page.

Good Luck
