No Drop,Inner,Outer Shadow listed under Stylize

I'm reading the Illustrator 10 bible
and it is saying to goto Effect/sylize/drop shadow
but the only thing listed there is Glowing Edges.
Is drop shadow a 3rd party plug in for illustrator?
Or have i neglected to install something that should
be there by default? Thanks for any help on this matter.

Have a look in your Plug-Ins folder. There should be a Drop Shadow plug-in in the Illustrator Filters subfolder. If it's not there, you may have an incomplete installation. If you know where the plug-in is, you can just drag it into that folder and restart Illustrator. Otherwise, you might want to reinstall it, just in case it's not the only thing missing!
