I'm having occasional problems with our nt4.o server. every once and a while we lose the the ability to read from the network drives. and there is no events that i can see in the event viewer. When I reboot the server everything is fine. It seems to be happening more frequently
Any Ideas??

It just happened again and I pinged the server and did get a response
Ping statistics for xxx.xxx.x.x
Packets: Sent = 4, Received = 4, Lost = 0 (0% loss),
Approximate round trip times in milli-seconds:
Minimum = 1ms, Maximum = 2ms, Average = 1ms

What network protocols are you running?
I have found that on our network I can get responses when logging on to the network but they come through NetBIOS, because the DHCP pool was full and we could not get an IP address (so some shares were not present at logon)

Boot the server again and take a screen shot of the process list.

When it goes again, take another one. Compare them.

While it is not talking to others, ping from the server to a workstation. Also check netstat.

Re run SP6a, check your network stack for useless protocols.

how would i take a screen shot of the process
