What needs to be added or what service needs to run on our new NT 4.0 server-configured as our BDC? I can see our schools web page from home or the office server-seperate network-but when anyone logs onto the new server and types in the web page there is a message that makes referrence to no DNS server available.

It sounds like a problem with your ISP. When you have a site address, there is an IP address that is associated with the name. DNS stands for Domain Name Server and it holds a list of linked to IP addresses. If you type in an address and it gives a DNS error then it sounds like it's not entered on the DNS properly. Have a chat to whoever is hosting your site.
I hope this helps.
