My computer with All-In-One motherboard does not display at all.

Since the motherboard is all-in-one, I cannot replace the display card. Therefore I tried to plug another video card into the PCI slot but no display goes to that.

How can I show the display into the new display card?

can you get into bios and either disable the on board video or make the new video card the main video card.

Without any display Its going to be kind of difficult to get into BIOS and successfully navigate to the appropriate option.
And in most cases the PCI card should override the built in video card automatically.

Are you sure the machine turns on and boots, and its just the display that won't come on? It might be the machine isn't booting at all.

Have you tried another monitor on the machine, it may be a bad Monitor Cable or plug?

Unknown has caused an Unknown Error on Unknown and must be shutdown to prevent damage to Unknown.

Hi vacunita, thanks for your reply.
The monitor and the cable are both fine as they are still used by another PC.
The power and HDD LED are on too.

More information needed for check?
How can I fix it? Many thanks.

Silly question but when you power the pc up are there any beeps that go along with powering it up?

By rights until you have actually run the post you should be able to display on any video card so when you first power on the PC it should display something.
By the sounds of things I have to say that either the card you are now trying to use is broken or it's the motherboard that's gone.

Hi SimonDavies, thanks for your reply.

There is no sound at all. The new video card can work in other PCs.

Well if there are no post errors and no display as well then I would have to assume that the board is dead. For whatever reason if you simply had a busted display then the system should be booting up into a POST and that POST should be complaining about lack of video (at the least I would expect there to be something coming from the POST launching).

As much as I hate to say it, I really do think that you have a dead board.

I'll have to agree with Simon. If your getting nothing out of the new Card at all, no beeps or anything, than it may be your Motherboard has bit the dust.

Can you hear any fans running when you turn on the PC?

carefully remove and reset all boards pluged into the motherboard, do the same for the memory chips if you can. Use proper care when handling boards or touching stuff inside the case.
