Goal: To have an identifiable extension/ number/ name display on a set so that a callee can identify what number/extention was originally dialled.
I've got a T1 from a long distance carrier transmitting 4 digit DNIS which match our extensions. The calls arrive correctly and route where I expect them to. I have one number that currently goes to an auto attendant (Merlan Message System R1.1, six ports). If you transfer out of the auto attendant to a calling group extension there is no display of the originally dialled DNIS or extension, it just says the voicemail extension name and transfer, and the more button gives the trunk number. Is there some way to configure it so that we can see which DNIS/extension was dialled if we're using the auto attendant to front end it?
[tt]My trunks are set up like:
TRUNK 837 Slot/Port : 7/ 1 Toll
Direction: 2 Way E&M Signal: Type1S Dialtone : Remote
InType : Wink InMode : TouchTone AnsSupvr : 300 ms
OutType : Wink OutMode : TouchTone Disconnect: 300 ms[/tt]
for trunks 837-860. Is there some other list that would provide more useful information?
