My company sufferd a huge brown out last week and it knocked out our phone system. We were able to bring all the user's phones back up, but it the attendant phone is totally dead, as well as a phone we have outside the door for late night deliveries. Does anyone know how to go out re-enabling these phones?

If they are actually only disabled and you can access the PABX..

LD 30
.ENLU x x x x (port number)

Tried that...still no luck on the outside phone.

Due to the power outage there may have been hardware affected? The outside phone I am assuming is the only one still not working?
Is it an digital or analogue?
Can you try another phone of same type?
Does it work direct from PABX tails?
Can you move the affected TN to another spare port?
Try disabling the whole card then re-enable the card again?

Hope this helps?

The phone is an analog phone. Old touch tone thing.

How do I move the TN? Can I do it through LD 20?

How do i disable and re-enable the card?

I'm VERY green when it comes to our phone system so bear w/ me please.

IDLE
this is an analog station of course, the same steps does digital. if the set shows idle, and still doesn't work, you may have a bad card. if you disconect the jumper at the frame and test at the tn, if you don;t ahve dial tone,

Code:
ld 32
disc 8 1 3

[B][I]replace that card[/I][/B]

enlc 8 1 3

of course if your in an opt 11 (on the wall) then shorten your tn to the correct format 1 for the card 1 3 for the tn. hope this helps, btw get a ups
