I have a BCM 400(4.0) with a GATM 8 installed. I have just hooked up a analog device(vonage) to one of the trunk ports. Call are processed properly but when I dial the Line Pool code, I do not get dial tone back or hear any ringing. The only indication I get is when the other party answers. I have tried changing the short, med, long CO and PBX settings. The impedance is 600. I do get dial tone at the BIX field of the BCM with a butt-set Does anybody have any ideas. Thanks

does this happen on all the trunk ports?

Listen at the BIX block as your making a call to see if you hear the ringing.

This is a Signature and not part of the answer, it appears on every reply.

This is an Analogy so don't take it personally as some have.

Why change the engine if all you need is to change the spark plugs.

I was able to find my "ringing issue"(I was dialing on hook) but still no luck with the dial tone from the analog device when I dial the access code.

If you are using routing rather than line pool access, you will not get the dial tone from the vonage box.

If that's the case can they turn on 2nd dial tone like on a PRI?

I am using routing and I tried the 2nd dial tone feature and it works great. Thanks for all the help. This site is great.
