Hello everyone!

I've been looking all over the place to find a solution for my problem. I'm stumped and it's been week, so I decided to look for help.

We have 24 local numbers (from 101 to 124) when you dial all of them, they all ring but one number (120) can't be answered. The phone does not have a dial tone but when called it rings.

I've already tested the phone and the cables and found no problem. I deduce it's the port. The port on which this phone is attached was originally an RJ45 port; we just turned it into a phone port.

I tried to re-impact the cable. Still no dial tone.

I attached photos of the phone port. Appreciate any feedback you could give. Thank you!

Sorry but the site your pictures are supposedly on, wants ne to download something and with due respect, I am not up for that! First question has to be, what system are we dealing with here?

Obviously you got a defective port. For further validation, get the phone near your PBX and tap it on the MDF. Also, check the cabling from the PBX to your MDF (normally an amphenol cable).

When you say it rings , what do you mean? The phone you think is 120 actually physically rings or you get ring tone when ringing it? Is it an analogue or a digital? If it is a digital, does it have the prime line assigned and does it have a key programmed as that extension? How do you come to the conclusion that the port this phone is connected to is programmed as that number?

Sorry to ask so many basic questions but I don't know your level of experience!
