I have a campus with an 8600 core router feeding (7)-8100 edge switches via fiber which each feed 450 switches via fiber to each closet. Windows dhcp clients can get replies from any 450 or any 8100 RJ port. My problem is that our linux kernal 3.22 dhcp clients will not get replies from 6 of the 7 8100's when connected to the RJ ports. Move to a 450 port and 3.22 gets a dhcp addr OK. Go back to kernal 3.21 and all OK. All seven 8100's are at Boot Code v1.0.0.1 Boot Monitor and Runtime img v2.0.1.1...the 3.22 kernal is needed for our imaging process so I need to make the 8100 ports work. All dhcp routing at the 8600 is correct and the same for each VLAN...If this is an 8100 software upgrade issue then why is one of the seven receiving dhcp??? Thanks in advance.
