I have a database that creates a report from a query that is filtered by date. The query and report works fine for me, but when a user goes to run the report, it dosen't bring back any data, just a blank report. The database opens Ok, and allows the users to input data, but the report
fails for everyone but me. Any suggestions?

We are using windows NT

Thanks in advance

Have you checked how the date is being entered or stored, is the global setup different on your machine to everyone elses, how about the server.

Its worth checking, i have had the same problems before. Dave

Theres nothing worse than an idea when its the only one we have!

The Date is being entered using the = Date() formula. What did you mean by stored? I have checked the formats in both the form and table, and they are set to " Short date". The strangest part is some people can run the reports fine, and others cannot. Could it have somthing to do with there profiles in NT? Were you able to get out of the problem?

Thanks

Wrecker,
I believe thegiraffe was referring to the system settings for the date and time. On WinNT go to Control Panel/Regional Settings and you will see a tab for setting the format for both Date and Time. I am not sure how to get to these settings in other OS's off the top of my head, but I am sure you can do it. I bet that the machines that don't work have different formats specified. To get around this you can either change their machines to the same as yours or use some Format or CDate commands to get it to work with different formats. (there are numerous heated discussions going on in different message boards regarding which of these is appropriate, I vote for handling any format the user enters).
