No data 2nd time via ActiveX controls

We have a really strange problem when running some of our reports via the integrated activex control for version XI. The report works fine every time when running inside the full Crystal Reports. When running via the activex viewer, the report works the first time but every time thereafter it always returns no data. It only seems to happen with certain filter conditions on the report but is consistent with those filters. Rebooting makes the report work again but only the first time it is run.

Has anyone had this problem? How do we get round it?
