I keep getting the error "/export/oracle no cycles found in media db; doing full save" which I understand relates to the save set containing incorrect information. However, on the Networker GUI under the Client menu, the Save set is set to ALL.
My question therefore is why isn't /export/oracle (or /export/anything for that matter) being backed up if Save set is ALL?
If I try to add /export to the Save set I get an error stating that as Save set is ALL, all other specified Save sets will be ignored.

The problem has only recently occurred and coincided with the client in question being taken out of the Default backup group whilst it was moved to another building, and then being placed back into the Default backup group. Ever since I've been receiving the above errors.

Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated. Thanks

It might be that you haven't got the Oracle Module installed, thus when 'All' is inserted as saveset, it picks up only the standard savesets as defined by the the specific directive (Standard NT directive or Standard Unix directive, depending on your OS)

Otherwise you could try specifying all savesets individually and removing 'All' from the saveset. (To get all check the old indexes for all default savesets.) The only problem with this is, as with SQL, you will need to shut down Oracle to to file level backup otherwise locks might occur.

Hope you get it fixed!

If those problems occurs from physically moving the client to another location I would suggest checking network connections and any firewall configuration. Network problem can give you the output you are describing. Try backing up any other saveset, like /tmp. If I'm right you would get the same output from that.
