Hi,

does anyone know if there is anyway of turning off the option to receive the ticked sent item on the handheld display on the 5820's?.

basically I just dont want to have to keep going through and deleting them off.

thanks

ticked? Are you referring to the registration of the blackberry every few mins when you jump on a different network? If so, I spoke to rim and they are coming up with a fix to stop the emails from coming in. Hope this is what you were looking for.

No, I think he is talking about when you send an email, it gives you a check mark next to the email showing it was transmitted. The answer is no, you cannot turn that off. That is the way the blackberry keeps you informed if an email was sent or if its pending. There is a way to turn off the blackberry from putting a sent messange in your exchange account's sent message box. That is done by using the Desktop Manager software. (look for "Redirector settings" and "Advance"). Other than that, there is nothing else you can do but delete them if they bother you.

One thing that may help you is to ctrl O from the message screen. This will show you only the messages you have sent from the blackberry. Then delete. That way you can select and highlight all of them at once.
If you don't have outgoing messages saved to the sent folder in Outlook and you are not concerned with those deletions synching from the handheld to the desktop, you can Ctrl O and then go to the top and highlight the date. Then click the trackwheel and select delete prior.
