Recently I have been unable to get the command window in Microsoft script debugger to open. The "Call Stack" and "Running Documents" windows open fine, but the "Command Window" does not appear when clicked. Any idea what is going on here?

Presuming this is the Microsoft Script Debugger (msscrdbg.exe), the coordinates of the windows are persisted from session to session. Did you by any chance move it off the screen?

If you're familiar with the registry, open the following key

HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Script Debugger\CommandRect

and empty the default value. The next time you start up the debugger, the command window will be apparent. Jon Hawkins

Thank you very much. The registry key for the command window visible was 0 and I changed it to -1, then it worked fine. What a relief. It's very difficult to debug without the command window.

Thanks Again!!

Excellent. The command window is back. I ensured that the "CommandRect" value was deleted, and the "CommandVisible" value was set to 0. On next launch of the script debugger, the command window was back.
