No CDE console after upgrade to tru64 v5.1a

Hello Admins,

Last weekend I updated my Alpha Server 2000 to tru64 v5.1a.
But after the upgrade the console went black.

By stopping /sbin/init.d/xlogin en afterwards renaming it from preventing run at reboot I have a ascii console.

Graphics card is a ATI MACH64-GX Rev 3.

Any one familiar with this problem ?
