No Busy Tone

Hi,

Not sure if this is a common problem or a configuration one. We have an IP Office 406 V1 Firmware 3.1 & Voicemail Lite with 5410 Terminals.

Basically when we make an external call that is busy the system just drops to call with no engaged tone or anything.

Majority of our users are asking for the system to at least let them hear the engaged tone for a short while so they know the line is engaged rather than just dropping the call.

I wouldn't have thought this should be a problem I just can't see anywhere obvious to set it.

Any help would be appreciated.

Its a result of the off-hook operation setting, its throughly annoying, and getting Avaya engineers to agree is equally annoying. If your users aren't using Phone Manager, SoftConsole or TAPI to make and end calls then you can happily switch off their individual off-hook operation setting.
