Hi,

a customer has 2 PBX systems (IP500) in a SCN. Site A = 5.0(22), Site B = 6.0(18). Everything seems to work ok (internal calls, ...).

Site B only has 1 ISDN line. When all ISDN lines are in use, the ISDN lines from site A are taken (this is working too). This is configured on site B like:

system shortcode: 0N - dial - N - id 50:main (ARS)

50:main ARS: N; - dial - N - id 10 (ISDN line) -> additional route ARS 51:eek:verflow

51:eek:verflow ARS: N; - dial - 0N - id 20 (IP line to site A)

However, one strange problem. When site B makes an external call (using their own ISDN lines) to a phone (any pbx, not related to the customer) that is busy, it receives no busy tone. The display of the phone just shows the number entered. The SSA shows "clearing" (SSA on site A doesn't show anything - which seems normal).

When I remove the additional route in the main ARS, everything is ok: there's a busy tone when calling an external line (that's busy). The SSA also shows "clearing", but now it also shows the number dialed.

Maybe I should configure the overflow different?

It sounds like this problem:

CQ40618 Callers do not hear ringing when calls are forwarded 6.0.14 SP_RELEASE_1Q11_6.1 4-Proven 6.0.187201

I think it is related to this problem.

Busy tone problems should be solved in the same release.

BAZINGA!

I'm not insane, my mother had me tested!

thanks for the quick response...

so both PBX systems should be on the same release? (the sales is going to like this one :) )

the last column shows 6.0.187201 -> I can't seem to find this release on the knowledge base site or on support.avaya.com. I think this should be an update of the 6.0(18) (IPO release 6 Q3 2010)

update...we can downgrade site B tomorrow to do some tests...I'll post the info in here, maybe it will help others too

It is a private build.
But the next release should come shortly.
