no browsers work ...?

hi,
I have a very strange problem with one of my computers, it is running xp home, and the problem i have is that it doesnt seem to want to run any code in web pages. eg secure logons and stuff do nothing when you click the button.
I have installed mozilla firefox and the problem still exists.

Can anyone point me in the right direction to get this resolved as I am at a bit of a loss right now.

Do you have a firewall or proxy that might be filtering portions of HTML code?

Refresh your Java VM:

Refresh your Windows Scripting Host:

Then run IEFix:

solved it.
created a new user account on the computer and the problem dissapeared!
