Hi,

I sent an email with a typo in the address but never received a bounce back email. I've seen this happen a few times and actually tried it with a bogus email address again and still not getting a bounce back. Does anyone know why? Aren't I supposed to get an "Undeliverable" message or something? Any suggestions would be very helpful! Oh, and I'm using Outlook 2k3 on an Exchange 2k3 server.

Thanks!

Dave

Bounce backs" are by no means mandatory. Some mail server admins deliberately remove this functionality from their server(s)

ps. The bounce backs for typos would come from the receiving server (if at all), not yours, so it is out of your control really

you first can try to send this message to a domain that you abolutely sure that it usually delivers a bouceback message, at least with that you would know if its a problem with this particular system.
