no blank page

hi everybody.... i have this problem... i have mi IE 6.0 configured to start with a blank page... recently i enter a webpage... and then when i start mi internet xplorer the adress bar say "about blank" but the page its a page full of icons and links to other pages... i dont care because i only use the altavista but i dont like the page i get... how can i back to my blank (absolute blank) page???

Add the startup switch -nohome to the shortcut you start IE with. See faq608-3525

Modify the properties of the shorcut to be something like:
"C:\Program Files\Internet Explorer\iexplore.exe" -nohome

(change the path as appropriate for your system, of course)
