I am just building a new computer but just cant get it to post a beep code or beeps code. All I have in the machine is Ram/Motherboard/Cpu/Cpu Fan. I have hooked up the power switch as well. It turns on fine, but am not hearing any sort of post beep/s. The ram is ok, I have tried on another pc. The parts are compatible. I have tried mixing the ram in different slots but bothing. I have cleared the CMOS. I also have read the book (manual) in every possible way.

The specs in the machine are......
Motherboard..........P4 Mainboard....NB32-SC....INTEL 845
Ram .......PC133 256mb
Cpu........Intel 1.7 ghz
Cpu Fan....to suit Cpu

Can someone advise or help or suggest. Thanks

Have you eliminated the case speaker or speaker wiring as being faulty?

Regards.

I had a spare one here so used it on the jumpers on the motherboard, still nothing and thats if you can do that?....any more suggestions

Suggest you try installing a video card and see if you get anything onscreen. I have known mobos that will not beep but are actually working ok in other respects. Help us to help you, please post back and tell us if this helped.

May sound like a stupid remark but if everything powers up but no post, try unplugging the reset switch. Seen them stick once in a while. ~ Whether you think you can or can't, you're right. Henry Ford~
